This year the 4th grade students will engage in hands on creative problem solving lessons and activities designed to foster important critical thinking skills. Some of the topics to be explored this year are team challenges incorporating the principles of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), designing blueprints and creating a 3D model for a geometric city of the future, and participating in an environmental challenge through problem based learning.
Throughout these units of study, the students will be able to use elaborate and original thinking, while sharing their ideas and learning from each other.
Students are expected to consistently perform at the highest standards by demonstrating proficiency in all of their subject areas and completing all of the required assignments in their homeschool, as well as in the GT classroom.
